The City has been investigating and planning for Solar Energy since 2009. Many improvements in solar power has been made since that time. In October of 2018, the City of Ringgold entered the power initiative to “go green” with the use of solar power at the City of Ringgold’s Public Works Shop, located at 761 Sparks Street. Some of the deciding factors involved; good stewardship, cost savings, and Georgia Environmental Finance Authority grant for installation of solar electrical system. The City of Ringgold is excited about this new endeavor and hope that you can take the time to visit our website which shows the monetary and environmental savings, as well as power creation serving our Public Works Shop through this solar array project.
